About the Speakers:

Eric A. Manterfield

Eric Manterfield concentrates his practice on estate planning, family business succession planning and probate litigation. Eric graduated from University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor, and is a Board Certified Indiana Trust & Estate Lawyer by TESB. He frequently serves as co-counsel with attorneys throughout Indiana. Mr. Manterfield is a former president of the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis and served as the Adjunct Professor of Estate Planning at the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington for thirty years. Mr. Manterfield lectures regularly before attorneys, accountants, insurance professionals and the general public on estate planning topics. He is the author of Critical Elements of Estate Planning with Forms.

Greg McCann

Greg McCann is an innovator in his roles as a professor of family enterprise, Founder and Director of Stetson University’s Family Enterprise Center, architect of the Holistic Model used at family enterprise centers worldwide, and creator of the second minor and first major in family enterprise in the U.S. He is also the founder of the consulting firm McCann & Associates as well as an author, a speaker, and an owner in his own extended family’s business. He has won Stetson University’s highest award for teaching, the school of business’s inaugural award for innovation, the Family Firm Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Family Business Education, and three national awards for his work in the creation and development of Stetson University’s Family Enterprise Center. He has been a member of the Association for Managers in Innovation since 2004. He has also authored When Your Parents Sign the Paychecks, which earned a bronze medal from Axiom Business Book Awards. A forthcoming book, tentatively titled Who Do You Think You Are? explores the effects of character and reputation on life and livelihood, and will be available in the second half of 2012.

Continuing Education:
Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation certifies that three (3) hours of MCLE credit is pending by the State Bar of California. Three (3) hours of legal specialization credit is approved in the areas of Taxation, Estate Planning, and Trust and Probate Law. Three (3) hours of continuing education credit is pending by the California Department of Insurance. Three (3) hours of continuing education credit is approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and (3) hours by the Institute of Certified Bankers – Certified Trust and Financial Advisors.
