The Spice of Life
“Crème brulée!” cheers Raeann Reinhardt, age 10, when asked about her all-time favorite thing to eat. The fifth-grader is a foodie who enjoys cooking French cuisine and other delicacies with her parents and her younger sister. Last year, “RaeRae” as she is called, dedicated her entire fourth-grade report at Curie Elementary on her culinary idol, Julia Child.

Prestigious Grant Award

Dr. Gabriel G. Haddad, Physician-in-Chief, Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, and Chair, Department of Pediatrics, UC San Diego, has been awarded a $10 million program project grant from the NIH. This is an important demonstration of Rady Children's commitment to discovery in research and innovation.
