What's a Miracle Maker?

Rady Children's Miracle Makers are individuals, clubs, businesses or groups of friends who fundraise for Rady Children's Hospital, raising at least $500 annually.

We're on Facebook

Social networking websites have become a popular and often preferred means of communication. Facebook is one of the fastest growing websites and offers non-profit organizations a way to share information with the online community. Become a Fan and stay connected with what’s happening.

Alexa's Story
Class Act: Autism

When Alexa was barely one year old, her mother, Cynthia, suspected she wasn't developing normally.

"Alexa is an only child, but as a mom, I just knew something was wrong," said Cynthia. "She had no vocabulary, no eye contact, never showed any emotions. She was trapped in her own little world."

We Have a New Website

Whether you need information about children's health issues, events that benefit the Hospital or your own giving history, our new online community makes it fast and easy.  Visit our newly designed website at www.rchsd.org for information you need now about our care and services - and the latest updates on issues that parents really care about.  For ways to help, visit www.helpsdkids.org.

Top Docs

Congratulations to the 74 Rady Children's-affiliated physicians honored as Top Docs in San Diego Magazine.  Each year, the San Diego County Medical Society asks board-certified doctors to whom they would refer their patients and family members.  That means that making the list is really high praise - physicians who are highly trusted and respected by their peers.
See who made the list.

Surgeon Returns From Haiti

After spending a week attending to seriously injured victims of the Haiti earthquake, many of them children, Dr. Hank Chambers, pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Rady Children's Hospital, has returned to San Diego.

Miracle Maker of the Month

Max and Jake's Big Race

Max and Jake's Big Race was started by Jerilyn Hammerstrom and Paula Cook, the moms of Max and Jake. They were inspired by the care their boys received at Rady Children's Heart Institute and are grateful for the opportunity to give back.
