Aflac has been a partner of Rady Children’s Hospital since 2006 and has contributed over $420,530.00. The Aflac All American High School Baseball Classic is the premiere high school baseball all-star competition and showcases 30 of the nation’s best players in an East vs. West match-up. The Game’s alumni have experienced tremendous success in the MLB draft, with 80 of the 268 All American players having been drafted by MLB teams in the first round. Four of whom were drafted #1 overall, including 2009 Aflac All-American Bryce Harper who went #1 to the Washington Nationals this year.
2010 is the 8th year of the annual Aflac All American High School Baseball Classic and will be played at PETCO Park on Sunday, August 15 and be nationally televised live on FOX Sports Net. These All-Americans are not only incredible athletes, but also outstanding community citizens. While in San Diego they will make a special visit to the hospital to play with the patients at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
Tickets to the game are available for $5 and all proceeds will benefit Rady Children’s Hospital. General admission tickets can be purchased at the PETCO Park Box office, online at www.padres.com, by phone at 619-795-5555 and at San Diego-area PETCO stores.
