What is a Junior Miracle Maker?
Junior Miracle Makers are individuals under the age of 18 who fundraise for Rady Children’s, raising at least $500 annually. From selling lemonade on a street corner and making and selling jewelry or crafts to asking their friends to write checks to Rady Children’s in lieu of birthday presents and saving their allowance – and everything in between.
You can even create your own fundraising page to share your story with others. Setting up a page is easy. You don't need technical skills, just creativity! Get started today at www.miraclemakers2013.kintera.org.

Meet Our Junior Miracle Makers
Elli Choi: Making beautiful music for kids with cancer.
Seven-year-old violinist Elli Choi raised $750 to benefit the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children's through a solo recital at La Jolla Country Day School. Elli, once a patient herself, decided that she wanted to reach out to other children in the hospital and "make them happy."
Keri Jucha: The ultimate in giving back.
Thirteen-year-old Keri Jucha was only 10 when she was diagnosed with a brain abscess, the result of a sinus infection. Her hospitalization required immediate lifesaving surgery at Rady Children’s, and her recovery was miraculous. This amazing young woman then made and sold more than 100 necklaces and bracelets, raising nearly $8,000 for Rady Children’s. Most recently, she raised another $7,000 to purchase computers, DVD players, and new movies and CDs for our patients. Click here to learn more about Keri’s story.
Patrick Ivison: Living life to the fullest!
Patrick Ivison is more than a Miracle Maker – he is also a patient at Rady Children’s Hospital. When he was only 14-months-old, his life changed in an instant when he was hit by a car. Patrick was transported by life-flight to Rady Children's where he was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Patrick has learned to live life to its fullest and made a promise to give back to the hospital that saved his life. Click here to learn more about Patrick's story.
