The Milagros Unit is an all-volunteer Spanish-speaking women’s organization whose mission is to support children through advocacy, community awareness and fundraisers, such as its annual event “Heard it Through the Grapevine” at the beautiful Del Mar Plaza. Best of all, the proceeds from the event benefit a specific area at Rady Children’s. Last year, Milagros raised more than $40,000, which went directly to Rady Children’s Heart Institute and Cardiology/Cardiovascular Programs. The event was a great success with approximately 400 attendees who enjoyed the evening. We were featured in newscasts and TV shows such as “Buenos Dias San Diego,” as well as in local publications. Achievements like these are only possible because of community supporters and amazing Auxiliary members who donate their time and efforts to make a difference in our children’s lives. Our members’ involvement, commitment and dedication are what really make Milagros continue to make the difference in or community.
